Too much clutter will always give you stress, affect your life and keep you distracted from the things that you should be doing. Dealing with clutter will almost always seem an impossible job but all you have to do is start with it. Don’t rush yourself into clearing all your stuff, sometimes we get too attached to our things that we want to hold on to them forever. Give yourself a specific time daily to devote on your decluttering.
How To Declutter Your Office Area
Look at your desk, are you comfortable with sight of it? Does it have piles of paper that have to be thrown away or dealt with immediately? Start with the basic of putting everything away and literally everything. Clean your desk, wipe it to make sure you get rid of dust. Arrange your documents, this can be done in an alphabetical manner, or can be put in colour-coded folders. When you have papers, deal with them immediately; don’t stack them up on your desk. Declutter your computer by deleting files you no longer need, if you don’t have time to organise your computer files use an online program such as Google Desktop to help you in organising.

Use two boxes for you to put on the stuff you want to throw away and the stuff you want to keep. Carefully go through all items you find in each area of your house. Remember that your goal is to declutter so if ever you encounter an item you really want to keep, breathe deeply and tell yourself that someone needs it more than you do. Teach your kids the value of sharing, early on in their lives they should practice sharing with others. Seeing your kids share will give you a sense of fulfilment. Check your closets regularly, you might have clothes that you've outgrown, give them away.
